Livia & Levi: A Beautiful Summer Wedding

I had the incredible honour of capturing Livia and Levi’s wedding, set against the breathtaking backdrop of the rolling hills just outside of Calgary, at Jumping Pound Ranch. It was a day filled with love, and laughter. The day started with a warm, golden sun and clear skies, creating the ideal setting for an outdoor ceremony. As Livia walked down the aisle, surrounded by greenery and the serene hills in the distance, there was an undeniable sense of peace and joy in the air. The couple exchanged vows under a stunning arch, framed by trees, with a picturesque landscape as their witness.

One of my favorite aspects of this wedding was the mix of both film and digital photography that we used. The combination of the two brought such a timeless and vintage vibe to the images, perfectly capturing the essence of Livia and Levi’s day. The soft tones and grainy texture of the film photos added an extra layer of nostalgia, complementing the romantic and intimate atmosphere of the entire event.

What truly stood out about this wedding was Livia’s eye for detail. She chose to bring vibrant pops of orange and red into the reception decor, creating a warm, inviting atmosphere. The reception space was set under a charming canopy tent, which gave the entire event a cozy and intimate feel. These bold colors were echoed by her bridesmaids, who wore beautiful orangy-red dresses, adding a coordinated yet effortless flair to the celebration.

As the sun dipped lower, casting a warm glow across the landscape, the atmosphere turned even more magical. Guests gathered around for heartfelt toasts and shared moments of joy, and then the dance floor came alive.
